What you want, to get what you need.

Everyone is unique. Dive deeper into your development and we’ll create a plan that suits you.

1:1 COACHING

  • Clients will receive support on the presenting needs they'd like to discuss. I will work collaboratively with clients to address concerns or develop strategies they feel are most relevant to their development. Concerns do not have to be directly sport-related; however, the objective of the sessions should remain oriented toward improving performance and overall well-being.

  • I will collaborate with clients to complete a performance profile. This assessment will determine the mental skills the individual finds most relevant to their development and highlight areas for improvement. From this assessment, we will co-create an individualized mental skills program to develop skills in identified domains.

  • In addition to performance profiling and mental skills programming, we will complete the Mental Performance Checklist (Durand-Bush, 2020). This tool will help us better understand the individual's ability to cope with adversity, peak under pressure, set goals and prepare mentally, concentrate, free themselves from worry, motivate confidence and achievement, and coachability.

  • Encompassing all of the above approaches, the "Elite Performance" package will also include an assessment using the Ottawa Mental Skills Assessment Tool-3 (OMSAT-3; Durand-Bush, 2001). Scores on the OMSAT-3 are empirically significant markers of differences between elite and competitive athletes. Athletes will receive highly detailed data on foundational, psychosomatic (mind-body connection), and cognitive skills. Commitment to this approach should be met with the intention to complete yearly assessments to track improvements throughout mental skills training blocks.

Team Workshops

Let’s work together!

Team workshops are a strategic decision to elevate your groups overall performance. Workshops can be selected on a 60 or 90 minute interval, see below for details on each. Select a topic from the list at the bottom of this section.

single workshop

  • Teams can book a sixty-minute, single workshop and have the option of choosing one or two topics of their choice.

  • Teams can book a ninety-minute, single workshop and have the option of choosing one to three topics of their choice.

Committing to a series of workshops is an effective way to ensure your team stays engaged while pursuing performance excellence. Select from the list of topics below or set up a call to discuss your team’s needs.

workshop Series

  • Teams can select one to three topics that will be spread along the course of two to three workshops. James will meet with your head coach to go over target goals for this series.

  • Groups will meet with James to discuss the direction of the organization. This will determine the areas the group needs to focus on to reach their goals. From here a schedule for workshops will mark the group’s pathway to excellence.

Below you’ll find the list of common workshop topics along with a general description of what to expect.

  • Every team needs a clear understanding of its core values. Setting a clear foundation on what your team stands for is the best way to ensure buy-in and goal achievement. Values-based action is the number one method for aligning your team.

  • Goal setting can be one or multiple workshops. Each team has its long-term direction, and each season marks a point on the pathway to excellence. You can start broad by determining your organization’s “Dream Goal.” However, if the dream is clear, we can build your pathway and commit to action-based goals.

  • Build a foundation of understanding imagery or follow a series of workshops to develop the skill on a deep level. Whatever your team’s goals are, I’m here to help you imagine how they will look when you achieve them.

  • Iron forms with carbon to create stronger, more fracture-resistant steel. Teams with weak bonds don’t perform strongly in competition. Learn how your team can build steel relationships and grow together.

  • Find out how you can recover from setbacks, remain steadfast under pressure, and last the test of time without rusting. This workshop will teach you the skills and tools to build robust resilience individually and as a group. Want to get started on the work? • There are no smooth roads to victory. Achieving your goals will inherently involve interpersonal challenges. Overcoming these challenges is where team members grow. Teams that avoid conflict implode easier, more often, and for longer. Help your team learn how to address disputes healthily and refocus energy on what matters most: your collective goal.

  • For coaches, captains, and informal leaders alike, if you recognize you have influence over others, you need to harness that energy. Embark on a series of developmental workshops designed to help your group grow and adapt to the dynamic challenges of leadership. Or, engage in deep reflection and help your leadership team reveal all of its strengths, growth areas, and potential.

  • Take a deep breath. Mindfulness training is optimal to ensure your team is engaged when needed. The age of competition has changed, and those who can remain present, enter flow states, and resist distraction dominate the podium. Whether you are trying to find calm or “lock in,” mindfulness training is for you.

  • Your biggest competition lives in your head. Learn to shake hands with your inner voice and turn it into your greatest motivator. You’ll gain insights and tools on how to develop and maintain supportive and effective self-talk. Is that voice telling you to start now? Click here to download the “Self-Talk” worksheet.

  • Do you want to make a difference in your competitive field? Learn the essentials, start your pursuit, or do a deep dive and track your impact. Whichever lane you choose, these workshops will teach your group how to make a difference in their lives and those around them. Are you ready to see the difference?

“Life doesn’t become easier or more forgiving, We get stronger and more resilient.”
